Tracking on Nuke - Day 8

Writer's picture: Jessica LambJessica Lamb

Wednesday 23rd February 2022

So today we learnt about how to track on nuke. There are two ways of tracking so we learnt the first way. It was using a tracker mode on the shot and finding a point of contrast. This would auto tracker when I would track to last gram. Once it finished the tracking I would to tick all the points on the T R S so it was track, rotate and scale on the frame. then I would go into the the other tab and select the tracker into stabilize. This would be when I would point my curser into a spot near where the track was so I made sure it tracked properly but it took me a few tries to get it right. Then I would copy that node and put it underneath the roto node. then I would change the tab from stabilise to match move. This would insure that the tracker node would move the roto with it. This is when I would start a new roto that would move with the frame. And I started roto with the tracker for the rest of the day.
