Colour correction excercise. Tuning dusk into sunset using contrast and colourspace node. Defocuse, Convultion edge detection, sharpness. Your weighting the pixels based on its neighbors. Convulation kernals. What is defocus compared to a blur. It adds altogether and removes detail. You get a donut/disc shape if it is small enough it will be confused for a dot. Defocus is convoluting with a disc. Bokeh using light distortion. Blur removes detail. Really out of focus convering with a disc to see when it's out of focus. Blur smushes the image the defocus doesn't. You need a high dynamic arraigned image. Paul Debevec - look him and his website up. It looks worse with a low dynamic image. Best with high dynamic image. (LDI, HDI) low dynamic range image (LDR) High dynamic range image (HDR). The filtering watch out for it. You might get negative nobes. Don't filter. Aliasing any type of transformation needs filtering although may damage image. Hover over filter to see descriptions of different filters. Fast defocus mimics when a lens is out of focus. Blur shape mimics the Iris/Apature. Chrome aberration - to remove it and inverse it. You need a shuffle node before the alpha in the foreground. Changing the longitude RGB and change the transverse RGB. Don't touch the green channel. To match it up. It moves a bit because of colourspace. Expand node - move the low colour and high colour to create a 3D effect on the plate. FBM, chaos theory. Fractual brownia. Motion gaps between land and sea. The gaps become bigger and smaller. Create a health haze node to animate the plate. Merge expressions. Specific exporsions you can look up use that haze to get rippling distortion effect. Convultion kernals, blurring everything together and smushing, smudging it all together. Still be averaging the whole neighbourhood. It's a blind, dumb algorithm. It may not see but it can still hear. Conversion to log space squeeze into 0 to 1. The degrain cleans it up nicely. We denoise then add the grain then apply to CG.
